12 months

Sawyer Blake is 12 months old!

We saw Dr. B today & here are some stats:

Weight: 22lbs

Height: 29.25 inches

Head Circumference: 18 inches
- You got a shot in each leg, one in your left arm, & your right big toe pricked at the doctor today. It. was. heartbreaking.

-The biggest milestone this month has been that you've started "walking" - you're not a full time walker just yet, but any day now you will be! You will take a few steps on your own before hitting your knees to take off crawling. You're able to go from sitting to standing without pulling up on something.

- You get so excited walking on your own!

- You are clapping and laughing so much!

- Peek-a-boo cracks you up.

- You like climbing too! You climb all over daddy when he lays in the floor with you.

- You are sleep through the night....only if you're in bed with mommy & daddy! We put you in your bed after you fall asleep in ours, but will wake up after a few hours screaming & its just easier to bring you back to our bed than to fight it at 2 in the morning.....we're trying to break that I swear!

- You eat just about anything. I'm no longer making & storing food for you really, we just feed you some of whatever we are eating.

- Some of your faves are sweet peas, regular & sweet potatoes, green beans & mac-n-cheese.

- You like meats too, but chicken gives you a bad diaper rash so we try to avoid that.

-You are starting to take a bottle less frequently

- Still in size 3 diapers, we prefer Pampers

- Size 12-18month clothing

- Your favorite cartoon is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

- 4 teeth: 2 on top, 2 on bottom. It looks like 2 more may be coming in on top too!

- You are saying more words, or, at least making noise that sounds like what we're trying to get you to say. Ha!

 

Sawyer - Watching you grow this past year has been so amazing! Part of me is sad that this year has gone by so fast & you are already 1, but an even bigger part of me is just so happy & thankful that this year was full of smiles, laughter & more love than I could ever have imagined. I thank God every day that you are happy & healthy. I thank God every single day that He chose your daddy & I to be your parents. We love you SO, SO much sweet boy!! Happy First Birthday!!
