Weekend Recap

We had a wonderful, long weekend.
Thursday night my friends from work & I went to see Jamie Lynn Spears at Juanita's.
Pretty sure we were the oldest girls in attendance, but it was a fun night out!
Friday morning started with sweet smiles from my banana loving little monkey!
I didn't feel well & was exhausted after work, so I spent Friday night in my bed watching TV. SB and all of his books & toys kept me company until he finally passed out beside me.
We spent most of the day Saturday around the house. Late that afternoon we went to dinner with Blake's family to celebrate his grandparents 68th wedding anniversary.
Aren't they the cutest :)
SB woke up on Sunday with a runny nose & hoarse voice. I thought for sure he was coming down with the crud, so we stayed home in jammies all day. He seemed to feel ok, but did spend lots of down time watching the Toy Story trilogy and Despicable Me.
He took a really good nap too which is rare these days so maybe he rested away the sickies.
Blake & I were off work Monday. My family always goes to Oaklawn on the holiday, but we changed plans & decided not to this year. The weather was too beautiful to stay inside, so Blake, Sawyer & I went to lunch then met my sister Jamie at the park! She took these great pics of SB sliding & throwing rocks - his two favorite things!
Back to work today...only to countdown till next weekend!

Weekend Recap

When we're home on a Friday night {which is most every Friday night}, our usual routine is sushi takeout & a movie. This weekend, we had a free rental from Redbox & watched We're the Millers. HILARIOUS!
We usually fix SB something else to eat when we eat sushi, but the last few times he has mooched a lot off my plate {which is usually something spicy}, so this week I ordered him his own rolls and he loved it! We are working on using the chopsticks, but fisting it works too!
I got up bright and early Satuday morning before the boys and got all the Christmas decorations put up! Later, we watched the Razorback basketball lose by 2 points in overtime {I'm only still slightly angry about that} then,Blake went to go shoot his gun for his license renewal while Sawyer & I met our friends at the park!
Sawyer spent the night with JPa & Dee Saturday night...
...Blake & I went to dinner at B-Dubs with friends to watch football. After the game, we went to a bar & watched some great karaoke!!
Sunday morning we were reminded that we are too old for late Saturday nights ;)
After some food & rest, we went to the boat show!
We go every year! Someday we will come home with a boat, but for now, it's fun to look & explore...and hope and dream.
Hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weekend! Have a great week!

2014

We had a very low key NYE spent with some of our favorite friends, our kiddos, good food & lots of laughs!
The kids were asleep before midnight! We watched the ball drop on tv then went out and watched the neighbors shoot off fireworks.
New Year's Day, we played lazy! Slept in, played with new toys, watched football & ate! That night we went to a friend's house to play Skip-Bo. I'm lame & didn't take any pics!
Friday night was poker night for Blake. He doesn't like to eat pizza {crazy I know} so anytime he's away SB and I feast on some Papa John's! Ha! My sisters & nana came over too & we played Mexican Train Dominoes! I won ;)
Saturday morning we slept in some more {that's a theme around here lately}! I went to the track with J.Pilk once I got up and around. That afternoon we took Sawyer to get another haircut! I was more brave this time & let him get AN ACTUAL haircut. Like more than a trim! Sweet thing looks like a boy now for the first time in his life!! Just kidding. But really, he looks like such a grown boy with his new do. I love it!
We went shopping after his haircut then met some of my family for dinner at Chuy's.
My cute parents :)
They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on NYE!
Nana looking too precious with Buh-lak-ey {please YouTube Key & Peele Substitute Teacher to understand that nickname}
My sisters said "look serious". So that's what this is. Ha!
I had planned on taking my Christmas decorations down on Sunday, but got called in to work for an emergency shortly after church, so we are going to just enjoy them for another week or longer!
This is what we think about these frigid temperatures.
Happy New Year!
