Christmas Decor 2013

I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner today for SUYL Christmas Tours of Homes.
Always exciting when I'm actually prepared for a link up :)
I feel like I have a lot of décor this year, yet it's all really kind of simple & I LOVE IT!
I'll start my tour outside...
I made these stockings last weekend to hang on each side of the garage. I gotta say, I impressed myself. I didn't get the idea from anywhere, just envisioned it & created it! I turned out exactly like I wanted!!
Sawyer didn't like that I was outside without him :)
 Entry...
I made the wreath above as well. It needs something more in the center of it, but I haven't decided what just yet.
The Little People Nativity is on the entry table since it is most accessible to SB.
Sawyer's Nursery...
This little tree has all of his "first Christmas" ornaments...
Office/playroom...
I just bought this tree this year. I haven't decorated it yet & probably won't at this point. I mostly bought it so I'd have a tree in each window to see from outside :)

Kitchen...
Living Room...

This is the first year I've had any sort of mantel to decorate. I bought these glitter trees at Holiday House several years ago & always envisioned them on a mantel piece. I also envisioned lots of garland & mesh on that mantel too. Well, the glitter trees were the first thing to come out of the attic & I couldn't wait to set them up. Then, I received this cute chalkboard pennant in the mail. As you can see, those are the only 2 things that made the cut! I LOVE the simplicity of it.
And now, the main event....
Our Tree!

Sawyer's Circus!!
I think a photo booth is an essential part of any party! SO. FUN.
The Circus Photo Booth was originally set up outside, but to get maximum participation, it was moved indoors!
WE LOVE YOU ALL SO, SO MUCH!! THANK YOU FOR HELPING CELEBRATE ANOTHER YEAR OF OUR PRECIOUS SAWYER BOY!!

Sawyer's Circus

I got the inspiration for a circus themed party when I purchased a 50% off bounce house rental from Arkansas Daily Deal. I planned the perfect party & was actually prepared & not having to rush or stay up all night working on party things the night before like last year. One thing you CAN.NOT. prepare or plan for once you've sent out invitations & rented a huge bounce house is THE WEATHER!!! It was SO, SO cold & windy the day of the party!! I was so disappointed, but our friends & the kiddos were troopers & I think everyone had a great time despite the runny noses & frost bite.
We'll start with the invitations...I can't {of course} find my flash drive with the actual image so what we have here is a shotty iPhone picture that I can't edit my address out of so PLEASE! Don't show up at my house, at least not unannounced!

The food table was my favorite obviously! We served all the circus staples.
Cupcakes were served inside.    Sweet birthday boy!
He was so excited hearing everyone sing "Happy Birthday"!
The bounce house was so much fun, despite the cold!
Best picture of all time!!

We had other outdoor fun for the brave, bundled up party goers.
Some of these guys went to Fish Heaven before the party...the lucky survivors got to go home with permitting guests!
I am NOT a good baker & don't pretend to be, but, I impressed myself with these lollipop sugar cookies for our guests to take home!

We asked for donations to charity rather than gifts for Sawyer like we did for his first birthday. This year, thanks to wonderful donations from our friends along with our contribution, we were able to donate almost $200 to the Shriner's Hospital for Children!!

More to come....
