Weekend Recap

We like to start the weekend on Thursday around here... at least for the sake of this post! Ha! I had to share this picture of Sawyer trying sushi for the first time! He even used the chopsticks...with a stabbing method! Needless to say, he was not a fan!
Saturday morning we went to breakfast at new place we discovered in town, then came home for a mid-morning nap before going to the pool that afternoon!
Sawyer is such a water baby!
The only thing he loves more than swimming is snack time!
Saturday night, we went to the Pilk's for dinner! We have SO.MUCH.FUN. doing nothing with them! Ha! The highlight of the night was driving around their neighborhood looking at some GINORMOUS new construction homes that we could only dream of living in...unless we all decided to live together!
This is Jessica & I standing in the bathroom of one of the homes.
Yes, that's a chandelier...
...& Blake standing behind us in the shower...the shower that has 2 doors, 2 seats, 3 shower heads & that window overlooking the tub!!!
Blake picked our first tomato from the garden this weekend!
Sawyer ate it with his breakfast on Sunday morning.
We went to the lake on Sunday afternoon to visit my parent's on their houseboat. Sawyer was unsure about swimming in the lake, but it didn't take long for him to adjust & he had the best time!
Popsicle break!
Sawyer went on his first boat ride! He was all smiles behind his dumb paci!!

Father's Day Weekend

I was the lucky person on call Father's Day weekend, but thankfully it was a very nice, quiet weekend!!
Friday night, while Blake was mowing the front yard, I played in the back yard with Sawyer. The sprinkler was on watering the garden so that's where we ended up playing & Sawyer had an absolute blast!! I didn't have my camera settings quiet right in the first picture here, but I had to share Saw's best friend Izzy playing with him :) There is a HUGE smile behind all that blur!
On Saturday, the boys went to the Barnett family reunion & since its held in the middle of nowhere Arkansas with zero cell phone service, I stayed at home. I hated to miss seeing Blake's sweet grandparents, but I kind of enjoyed having the house to myself - even if I did spend the ENTIRE time they were gone cleaning!!
LOVE these precious Barnett men!!
Sawyer had an obsession with this church pulpit at the reunion!
On Father's Day afternoon we grilled out at our house with J-Pa, Dee, Memaw & Papaw.
We are SO very thankful for our amazing, supportive dad's!
Sawyer's daddy is pretty incredible too!

18 months

My baby turned 18 months old last week! I'm pretty sure he has officially transformed in to a little boy rather than a baby!

At his check up with Dr. B, he weighed 25.4 pounds, was 33 inches tall with a head circumference of 18 inches. He had to get 1 final vaccine at this checkup & now we are done with shots until he's 4!!
This boy only has 1 speed & its FULL BLAST!! He is constantly moving & getting in to anything & everything! He's a climber, he's a runner, he's a jumper, & finally starting to become dancer!
He is silly, stubborn & sweet.
We are lucky if we get an hour nap out of him a day.
He will still eat just about anything - favorites are Mac N Cheese, Pizza, and any kind of fruit. He would eat grapes, pineapple & mandarin oranges for every meal if we let him! He also loves to feed himself with a fork. He is going through a phase where he may or may not eat, he has been cutting some big teeth though which probably accounts for that!
He will rarely drink plain milk out of a sippee cup, so he still gets a bottle after supper. Otherwise its juice, chocolate milk & watered down sweet tea (don't judge - this IS the south) in the cuppy! He wears size 18 month clothes & size 6 shoes!! He has done really, really well being left in the nursery at church for about the last month! We are super excited about that!!

He got his 2nd haircut on his 18 month birthday!
He loves to play outside & torture love on his sisters.

Sawyer Blake - You are such a sweet, sweet momma's boy & I wouldn't have it any other way... although you have taught me to pray for patience on a daily basis! You are the funniest, smartest kid we know! Your daddy & I love you more than you could ever imagine!!
