6 months

Can you believe it?!?! I can't. My sweet boy is 6 months old!! This means 2 things: 1) Time is passing entirely too fast, and 2) I only have 6 more months to plan his first birthday extravaganza!  Sawyer was very interested in his sticker this month, but I think these are my favorite pics so far. He is such a funny kid & I think all of his silliness was captured!
Stats @ your 6 month check-up:
weight - 16.8lbs
length - 26 inches
head circumference - 17 inches
According to Dr. B, you are growing perfectly. You are still in the same percentiles on height & weight.
You are wearing size 2 diapers, we still prefer Pampers but used up all the diapers we had rec'd as gifts.
6-9 month clothes fit best, but you can actually fit into some 3 month onesies we still have...they just show off your muscles :)
Still eating an 8oz bottle every 4 hours, rice cereal with applesauce in the morning & a vegetable for dinner. We make all of your baby food.
You're able to hold your bottle for the most part. We started using a stage 3 nipple last week.
You are rolling back to belly & belly to back with ease! You have not shown any signs of crawling yet, but you can pretty much get what you want & where you want by rolling & scooting.
If you're not on the floor rolling around, you're in your walker...you can really get around on the tile floor in that! It is so funny to watch!
You are able to sit up for a few seconds on your own, but lose balance quickly. I don't think it will be much longer though before you master that milestone!
Still no teeth...but there IS still lots of drool & EV-ER-Y thing goes in your mouth.
You like to play with your feet....and those precious toes goes straight to the mouth too of course.
Your laughter is the best sound in the world. You are such a happy baby.
MiMi calls you the "smiley kid" :)
You like to ride in the stroller on walks or when we go shopping...you almost always fall asleep.
Since you are a master roller, I wake up to find you sleeping on your belly, face down. I do.not.like.it
You take a passi, but usually only when you're going to sleep.
You are getting so much more hair & it is so blond!
"Mom, you can't fool me"
"This toy will not keep me distracted"
"Give me your camera"
"This shoot is over"
"Just kidding Mom!"

Sawyer Blake - I wish I could freeze time because you are at such a fun age! You are such a hilarious, happy, sweet, sweet baby! Mommy, Daddy, Izzy & T-bag LOVE you SO SO much!!

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a great weekend. Surprisingly though, I did not take many pictures at all!
On Friday night, we went to a birthday party for our sweet friend Chloe. This is the only time I took pictures because Sawyer got to see his girlfriend ;)
Sawyer is 9 days older than sweet, petite, Miss Bailey :)
I borrowed this picture from a friend's FB page...
:)
Saturday, we celebrated our friend Chris' birthday. It was supposed to be a pool party, but since it was rainy & cool, it was just a party by the pool. We always have a great time hanging out with the neighborhood friends! Saturday evening we had dinner with Blake's friend/co-worker Lance & his wife Cynthia. They are such much fun & they loooove Sawyer, but we don't see them often enough so we are going to try hard to go out with them at least once a month.
For Mother's Day on Sunday, we had brunch @ J-Pa & Dee's then came home where Sawyer & I played & napped & watched tv & napped on the couch for the rest of the day! Amazing day :)

As a gift for my mom, my sisters & brother got together & took some pictures. I don't think we have all taken a nice picture together ever! This picture was blown up into poster size & framed for our mom. She LOVED it!!

I still plan on doing a living room make-over post, I'm waiting on a canvas I ordered to arrive so it will be complete. I haven't forgotten about doing another food post either.Sawyer's 6 month post will be up this weekend...unbelievable that my baby is already turning 6 months old!!!! I've got a couple other things in mind to blog about soon as well...I'm going to try hard to do more than just weekend posts I swear!! Have a great rest of the week!! Tomorrow is MY Friday! Woo Hoo!!

Midweek Mish-Mash

I had intended to post a weekend recap the past 2 nights but didn't get it done, so here we are Wednesday...thank goodness we are on the downhill slope of another week!
Last Friday night we hung out on the patio @ Blake's parents house. They cooked out hamburgers, I drank wine, & enjoyed the evening outside with our sweet family!
On Saturday, Blake & I went to my dear friend Sunni's wedding. Her grandpa officiated the ceremony & it was the most precious thing ever! I may or may not have cried the entire time it was so precious. I love you Sunni & wish you & Josh all the happiness in the world!!!
Sawyer stayed with his J-Pa & Dee while we went to the wedding, so afterwards, we took advantage and went on a little date! We had an early evening dinner at Bravo! and then did some shopping in the Promenade. We then spent some more time hanging out on the patio & roasted marshmallows when we went to pick baby boo up :)
.........
Over the past week or so, Sawyer has become quite the rollie polie! Long gone are the days of lying him on the sofa or the ottoman. I've been putting him on a pallet in the living room floor but he is able to get around pretty good now & works his way off of it & on to the hard, cold tile...which he is NOT a fan of. So, when we are in the kitchen/living room area, little man has to be in the walker or my new favorite accessory, the high chair/booster seat deal that straps onto our kitchen chair. I really do love it & so does Sawyer! He can see everything that's going on and play with his toys on the tray.
We finally got the flower bed out front finished over the last couple of weeks. I love, love, love our summer plants! It's so fun watching everything grow & multiply each year. Blake takes such good care to make sure everything is watered & fertilized. By the end of the season, we usually have a ton of banana trees, elephant ears, & cannas to give away or plant elsewhere the next year. This year, I added a little color with the red & white petunias :)
Blake also planted a Japanese Maple his mom gave us this year!
I hope you're all having a great week....if not this sweet smiling face will surely cheer you up!! ;)
