TGIF

Yes. Thank Goodness It's Friday.
I feel like I haven't blogged in ages. The past couple of weeks have been crazy!
Work has been really busy because we've done several new implants this month. One of my co-workers was on vacay for spring break last week & it just gets so busy when one of us is away. I can't imagine how they felt when I was out on maternity leave for 12 weeks.
We got our new floors this week which I am sooooo happy about! They turned out amazing. I'll do a full post on that soon! My house has been a complete disaster for about 2 weeks getting ready for the new floors so I'm hoping to get it put back together this weekend.
We started feeding Sawyer bananas last week when he turned 4 months old. He is such a good eater & he loves it!He tried climbing out of his Bumbo one night to get the spoon...
After several days of bananas though he started getting really, really fussy. I felt like he was having a bad tummy ache so we gave him a rest from solids for a few days. Nana started him back on his rice cereal this week & he has been fine. I may let him try a new veggie this weekend. We were happy to finally use our Baby Bullet to make his food...
Sawyer got some fun new gear this week. I have been trying to find a combination walker/exersaucer but haven't found anything I really liked yet. He was really needing something though to sit/stand up in so I went to Target and bought just a regular exersaucer there. His feet don't quite reach the bottom...
Nana's been sticking a pillow under his feet so they're not just hanging & he really likes being in it.
J-Pa & Dee bought him a regular walker. It didn't take Sawyer long to figure out how it works & he has been scooting himself around backwards in it on the new tile.
I cannot get enough of this sweet boy!!
We finally got a new grill & tonight Blake grilled steak & baked potatoes for dinner.
So yummy!
Blake is the best griller of food ever! Sawyer boy was wondering where his steak was :)
We jumped on the Mega Millions bandwagon and bought lotto tickets tonight! I can't wait to call into work rich on Monday!! :)

Have a great weekend!

4 months!

Sawyer turned 4 months old yesterday!! I'm a day late posting because I wanted to include his stats from today's check-up with Dr. B. I took his 4 month pictures last night after his bath, he was so sleepy though & I wasn't able to get much out of him. Ha!
Weight: 13.06 pounds
Height: 24 inches
Head Circumference: 16 inches
All about my big sweet boy this month....
-Still size 1 diapers
-You mostly wear 3 month old clothes, some 0-3 still fit but you can also wear 3-6 month too
-You are eating 8 oz of formula every 4 hours
-We started feeding you rice cereal about every other day. You do really well now eating from a spoon. We are SO EXCITED about starting some fruits & veggies! Daddy bought you some bananas to try first, we are going to make your food with our Baby Bullet :)
-You have not been a very good napper. You take maybe 3 naps that last 45min-1 hour
-You are still sleeping all night long, waking around 5am to eat, then back to sleep until 7am when I take you to Nana's for the day.
-DROOL. All the time.
-You still try to cram every single finger into your mouth. You gag yourself most times.
-You can roll from your tummy to your back, but you don't do it consistently. You are not a big fan of tummy time!
-Your hair is getting longer & blonder. PRECIOUS!
-You still LOVE bath time.
-You have excellent head control & you really like to stand up & put weight on your legs. We are looking for a fun exersaucer/walker for you.
-We have all adjusted well to mommy going back to work. You love your Nana a whole lot & I know she just loves keeping you!
-You are holding on to your toys good & putting them straight to your mouth of course!
-You are talking so much!! It is pretty much the cutest thing ever to hear you cooing and laughing.
-Since birth, you have always made the cutest facial expressions, now that you've found your voice to go with it its even cuter!
-You like to bury your face or "root" when you're sleepy. You love your lovie!
-You don't suck on a paci really unless you're trying to fall asleep.
- You are still sleeping in your pack-n-play next to my bed....I don't know if I'll ever be ready to move you to your crib...
-You love music & watching the TV.

Sawyer boy, I say this every time, but I can't believe you are another month older! You are just growing & changing everyday & we love every minute of it! You are such a good, sweet baby! We are so lucky to be your parents. We love you sooooo much baby boy!!!

Weekend Fun

We have had such a fun weekend!!
Hope you're ready for lots of pictures!! :)
Friday night, we took Sawyer to his first birthday party for Miss Bianca! This sweet girl turned 3 years old!! Sawyer was kind of a party pooper at first. While Bianca was blowing out the candles on her cake...
...Sawyer was sleeping!
When we went inside to watch Bianca open her presents...
...Sawyer was still sleeping!
When the little guy did finally wake up, he got to play with two of his chosen girlfriends! I have been dying to get these 3 together!! I love how the girls are checking Sawyer out!!
from L to R: Sawyer, Bailey (9 days younger that S.B.), & Payton (exactly 1 month younger than S.B.)
Aren't they all just so sweet!?!?! Well, at least until Sawyer & Bailey started screaming! Ha!

Saturday was my mom's birthday. We spent the afternoon/night with her & my sister's in Hot Springs at the World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade. It was such a blast!! People all over downtown Hot Springs were dressed up crazy & wearing green. We even saw dogs painted up green! There were lots of Lepracauns walking around too. The parade was so fun to watch! People walking in it or on floats threw candy, beads & even Twinkies!!
The band .38 Special was in the parade too! My mom was excited about this.

Sawyer man LOVED watching everything! He was so good the entire time. Blake & my sisters boyfriend Weston did a good job of protecting him from things being thrown. I put him back in his stroller at some points to protect him from all the flying objects, but then stuff just landed right on him! Here he caught some beads...
This Elvis threw a Moon Pie to Sawyer...
After the parade, we waited around for the crowd to thin out before we tried to push the stroller down the sidewalk. Sawyer was such a hit for everyone that walked past us! Lots of people told us how cute he was as they walked by...we know! ;)
After the crowd thinned, we walked down Bath House Row while listening to .38 Special who was playing nearby. After a quick power nap, Sawyer woke up & was so excited!
He was telling Aunt Brandy aka Aunt Mon all about it...
It was such a nice night & we had sooooo much fun! I love my family!!
We hope you had a Happy Birthday Mom/Mimi!!! We love you soooo much!!
All my people/dogs slept in until 7:45 Saturday & Sunday!!! So thankful for lots of good sleep after a busy week! Today, we had lunch at Eat My Catfish yummy stuff with Blake's parents then we came home and started taking up the carpet in preparation for our new tile floors that will be laid next week!! So excited!! Of course I'll post all about our living room make over when its all done! I can't wait!!

Random Wednesday

We are loving this warm weather & the time change!!
We went on a walk Monday afternoon around the neighborhood. Sawyer loves riding in the stroller! Once we start moving though, he doesn't like to stop. We stopped twice, once to talk to Blake's g-parents who live up the street & once to talk to some neighbor's, both times he threw a fit until we started moving again! Such a little stinker ;) Little man had to wear his new shades on our walk...
Tuesday evening after supper, Sawyer & I went to Target to get a birthday present for Miss Bianca's party this weekend...$70 later, I walked out with much more than a birthday gift!
I had to get these little shoes for Sawyer because I'm afraid if I wait I won't be able to find them again...
I picked up these dish towels that were on clearance. They don't necessarily match our kitchen which is red/white & Razorback, but they're chevron & I couldn't pass them up!
And this oh so true shirt for my little man...
;)
Izzy is a regular pro now at letting herself & Tess out to play in the back yard. 3 times since I posted about it here last week they have gone out when we were not paying attention. The worst was on Sunday afternoon when it was raining, I was taking a nap with Sawyer & Blake was playing on the PS3 in the mancave, the girls got out & got soooo wet & muddy!! I walked in the living room last night to find this...
Last weekend, we went to the Memphis Flea Market with Blake's parents. There was not much there we were interested in, but we had fun spending the day with J-Pa & Dee. I did get some mesh & such to make an Easter wreath...I'll post pics when its finished. Also, there was a woman there selling a baby goat....
this IS random Wednesday ;)

I'm working on another food/recipe post, I should hopefully have it up by the weekend.

Sawyer has never been a fan of tummy time! The other day he just fussed & cried until he finally gave up & passed out!
He did finally roll over again from his tummy to his back!

I am so ready for the weekend! Bianca's party is Friday night & my mom's b-day is Saturday & we have some fun plans for St. Patrick's day!

Have a great rest of the week!!

Random Wednesday

I'm exhausted! I can't believe it's only Wednesday. I've felt a day ahead all week...wishful thinking I guess!! I'm excited about "springing forward" this weekend. I love longer days :)

Sawyer boy has been doing some serious sleeping this week! I guess he may be going through a growth spurt. Saturday he slept 12 hours straight, 6:30pm to 6:30am. Monday, he fell asleep with his daddy in the recliner around 7:30, Tuesday he fell asleep around 7 but I had to wake him up for his bath, then bottle & he went right back to sleep. He sleeps alllll night, waking up usually between 4:30 - 5am for a bottle then goes back to sleep until 7 when I take him to Nana's. Tonight he crashed at 8! All babies are cute when they sleep but I'm especially partial to this one...
Funny story about the dogs....I woke up at 3 am one morning last week to dogs barking outside our bedroom window. My first thought was, how in the heck did dogs get in our backyard? Then I realized OUR dogs were not in bed with us. I woke Blake up & asked him if he had let them out & then forgot about them or something, he jumped up to go see & found our backdoor WIDE OPEN! We have latch style doorknobs & Izzy has been able to open doors since she was a puppy. We didn't put the gate up across our bedroom door nor did we lock the back door that night & the little shits let themselves out!! It was the craziest thing ever! They only look sweet & innocent...
Blake made dinner tonight & it was soooo yummy! Chicken, bacon & avocado quesadillas (from Pinterest of course), homemade Mexico Chiquito cheese dip & salsa, & even a pitcher of strawberry margaritas!! I love him :)
My growing boy has been doing some eating lately as well! I gave him rice cereal for the first time a couple weeks ago! He is doing really well eating off the spoon. It's so cute! Our first feeding was a tad bit messy!
I can't believe in just 2 weeks he will be 4 months old! I am looking forward to using our Baby Bullet to make his baby food though!
This picture makes us laugh...
I'm wanting to get Sawyer a seersucker outfit for Easter...any suggestions on where to find one would be appreciated. I've seen some online I like, but I'm scared it may be too late to order for it to get here in time =/

I don't know what all this Kony business is about that's all over FB today, but from the comments & such that I've seen, I probably don't wanna know. Blake is watching the video now so he can fill me in I guess.

Just 2 more days this week!! We can do it! =)

I'm Sawyer and I know it

We love music. All types of music. Lately, we've been really into LMFAO. Thier songs are just so fun & silly. :)
"I'm Sexy & I Know It" is our favorite. The music video is hilarious. We also make up our own lyrics to the song...when Sawyer gets his diaper changed I sing "I've got Elmo (or whichever character is on the diaper) on my pants & I ain't afraid to show it. I'm Sawyer & I know it!!" Stupid maybe, but my baby gets a kick out of it :)

Last week, Aunt Jamie e-mailed these pictures to me...
Oh it gets better
Wait for it...
Yes, everyday he's shufflin!
Hope you are all having a great weekend & enjoying this amazing weather!
